Griffin GearUp

Griffin GearUp is a program designed for admitted first-year students that includes meeting with an academic advisor, registering for classes, understanding the financial aspect of education at Westminster College, exploring leadership development, and meeting some of your peers.

To keep students and staff safe and healthy, all 2020 Griffin GearUp programs will be virtual. Due to this change, there will not be a guest portion of Griffin GearUp. Instead, Westminster will be developing webinars for parents/guardians throughout the summer. More information about these informational opportunities will be communicated via email, the Westminster website, and social media to students and parents/guardians.

How to Prepare

Canvas will introduce students to important modules/tutorials on how to navigate important systems and processes at Westminster College. You must complete your Canvas modules before joining the virtual Griffin GearUp. Consider this part 1 of your Griffin GearUp experience and the Virtual Griffin GearUp as part 2.

You will receive more instructions about the Pre-Griffin GearUp canvas modules via email after you register for Griffin GearUp.

Upcoming Griffin GearUps

Email studentinvolvement@westminstercollege.edu if you cannot attend any of the scheduled GearUp programs. If you need to switch programs after registering, email Oliver Anderson (studentinvolvement@westminstercollege.edu). If you’re having issues registering, call the Admissions Front Desk (801.832.2200).

Students can only register for 1 Griffin GearUp program. The final Griffin GearUp is the last program for new first-year students to register for fall classes.
