Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Williams' masterpiece concerns a young man's disaffection and descent into alcoholism following the death of his college friend, and his wife's efforts to make him stop drinking so that he can take over his dying father's plantation. In the plantation house, the family celebrates the sixty-fifth birthday of Big Daddy, but the mood is somber and filled with greed as the children fight over the inheritance of the estate. Maggie fights to keep her husband and her future no matter what she must do.
