Application Requirements

Incoming first-year students who wish to apply to the Honors program should typically have a minimum 26 ACT (or SAT equivalent). While the average ACT score of recent entering Honors classes is around 30, it is much more important that students have a strong academic preparation in high school, an attraction to the distinctive learning approach in Honors, and a deep desire to take advantage of the many opportunities that the program offers.

While interviews are not required of applicants, we strongly encourage prospective students to visit campus, attend an Honors seminar, and meet with the director of Honors. Please contact Wes Yarborough, Honors Recruiter, at and he will set up your visit.

Application Deadlines

Priority consideration for early applicants closes on December 2, 2016.
