Course Descriptions

WARCH 100 (2 Credits) WestARCHES Seminar I

Through this course, students gain experience in community-based participatory action research and identify skills in leadership, collaboration, diversity understanding, global concepts, and service learning for future development.

WARCH 200 (2 Credits) WestARCHES Seminar II

Through this course, students take on increasing responsibility in community-based participatory action research begun in the WestARCHES Seminar I. Students expand development of skills in leadership, collaboration, diversity understanding, global concepts, and service learning.

WARCH 250 (2 Credits) WestARCHES Seminar III

Through this seminar, students will work with a mentor to develop an Individual Development Plan to organize possibilities for curricular and co-curricular opportunities ahead in the Junior and Senior year. As part of the plan development, students will conduct informational interviews with professionals whose work is relevant to student interests and goals.

WARCH 350 (2 Credits) WestARCHES Seminar IV

This seminar provides support for WestARCHES students in the process of completing Individual Development Plans.
