Description:

Program Description and Application Deadline: The CHC offers the following opportunities: Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellows Program: Those dedicates to make a difference in the struggle to eliminate hunger are invited to apply for the year-long program spending six months working in urban and rural organizations around the county and six months working with similar national organizations. Fellows will receive a living allowance of $10,000 for the year, in addition to health insurance, relocation stipends, a housing subsidy, and an end-of-service award of $3,500. Deadline is January 15th. Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellows Program: This program is a two-year long initiative that begins with a one-year field placement in counties throughout South Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America. Fellows spend their second year assisting with policy formation in the headquarters of he organization that sponsored their field placement. Fellows receive $1,000 per month in the first year plus a housing subsidy of $3,000. During the second year fellows receive $1,500 a month, in addition to health insurance, plus a housing subsidy of $5,000, and an end-of-service award of $5,000. Deadline is February 15th.
