Student Showcase
- Westminster biology graduate Lindsay Malecheck was one of 35 students chosen from a pool of 700 for a National Human Genome Research Institute internship.
As a result of her fine work during the internship, Lindsay was awarded one of only 20 fellowships given each year throughout the entire National Institutes of Heath and now attends the University of Utah Medical School.
- Congratulations to Misty Rose Riddle, an undergraduate at Westminster College, who is the 2007 recipient of the Doyle Stephens Scholarship. Misty's research was titled, "Microbial Influence in the Great Salt Lake: Identification of Great Salt Lake Microbes Associated with the Brine Shrimp, Artemia Fransiscana." This is the second year in a row she has won the Stephens fellowship for research on GSL!
