Westminster College in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah is the destination point for high school students who want to test drive college life while having the experience of a lifetime! So pack a bag and grab your passport for adventure!  Students must be entering 9th-12th grade this fall to attend a College Experience camp.  The college offers exciting program in writing, robotics, aviation, and finance.

Writing Your World Camp  July 11-17

 Cost: $659   

Do you have the "write" stuff?

Do you fill notebooks, napkins, or whatever surface you have handy with poems, stories, or even songs? From the novice to the newly published, Westminster’s Writing Your World camp will give you a collaborative, interactive writing experience with fellow authors and professionals.

Discover how well your voice can resonate within in your world of writing. Using a survey of writing techniques and styles, you’ll become an expert at the art of expression. This unique camp will provide a safe environment to explore and expand your writing.


  • Learn about the “real writing” experience as well as writing for the public sphere 

  • Develop observation skills for writing with imagery

  • Contemplate surrounding imagery while hiking the Wasatch Mountains

  • Challenge yourself in hands-on group learning activities 

  • Develop writing skills that will give you an edge

Robotics Camp  July 11-17

Cost: $370 for High School Students (Entering 9th-12th grade this fall) or $175 for Elementary, Middle or Junior High School Students (entering 5th through 8th grade this fall) Scholarships are available. Please contact the camp coordinator for more information.

Ever thought it would be cool to build a robot? 

Then drop your summer video game plans to work small teams to build and program a robot to master a variety of mazes and challenges on its own.  While the robot can't be programmed to do your homework, you'll gain hands-on experience with the VEX Robotics Starter kit to discover how robots can move and function on their own. Students will work in groups of 2-4 to create, program, design and build a robot  You will be guided by computer science faculty as you and your team use a kit to design and run your own robotic wonder.

Aviation Camp July 11-17

Cost: $859 (includes $200 fuel fee)

Let adventure take flight!

Navigate the virtual skies in Westminster’s top-of-the-line flight simulators. Then gain some real air as you take the controls of one of the college’s Piper Archer airplanes and get a bird’s eye view of the breathtaking Wasatch Mountains in two private lessons that you can log towards your license.

Money 101 Camp July 11-17

Cost: $659

What’s the secret to making money and keeping it?


Experience the rush of an economic roller coaster ride and learn how to master the markets and still make money. Westminster’s “Money 101” camp gives you an insider’s view to investing as you jump into the exciting and fast-paced world of global finance.


This camp will expose you to the excitement and challengers of the financial markets as you use the powerful tools found within the Center for Financial Analysis, while also providing the foundation for a lifetime of successful investing.


  • Learn how and where to invest your money
