This course provides the students with a competitive environment in which
the students can participate in the sport of basketball. The emphasis
of the class is to keep the activity level high.

Body Mechanics, LE

This course enables students to participate in various types of physical
activities while gaining knowledge of proper exercise and biomechanical
principles. Students will be instructed in a "hands-on" manner
and are expected to participate to the best of their ability. Each student
will be allowed to work at his/her respective level with the objective
to improve his/her physical fitness and lifestyle.

This course will help students to develop their performance skill in
running. Students progress as rapidly as their ability will allow guaranteeing
proper continuity and progression of this important skill.

Downhill Skiing, LE

Students must take seven two-hour classes. Classes meet daily at Brighton
Ski Resort at 9:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. When the resort is open, both skiing
and snowboarding lessons are offered. Cost is $140, payable at Brighton
Ski Schoool Office. Call Brighton Ski and Snowboard School (801) 532-4731,
ext. 234. Please note: students are expected to complete all seven lessons
in the semester in which they are registered for the class. Exceptions
to this only occur in years when there is no snow. There is a $10 fee
for lost vouchers.

In this course students develop and improve their performance skill in
hiking, and gain insight, knowledge and appreciation of hiking. Students
meet the first seven weeks of fall semester on Saturday mornings and carpool
to local canyons. No previous hiking experience is required.

volleyball. Attention is given to individual techniques and overall game
strategy.

Classes are taken at a tennis facility in close proximity to the campus.
