Community RelationsThe Office of Community Relations at Westminster College is dedicated to strengthening relationships between Westminster students, faculty, staff and members of our community.Parking IssuesDue to a high demand for parking spaces on the Westminster campus as well as to promote alternative modes of transportation, there will be a $150/year parking fee implemented for all students. While this will promote many students to use UTA to get to school or consider carpooling or other sustainable modes of transportation, it may also increase the amount of students parking in neighborhoods near the Westminster campus. To learn more about the parking initiative or to get contact information for questions and concerns, please click here. Community InternshipsWestminster College was recently awarded a $20,000 grant from the Henry W. & Leslie M. Eskuche Foundation for community-based student projects and internships. The grant will offer students the opportunity to learn through collaborative experiences outside the classroom and within the Sugar House community. This internship grant is a great opportunity for Westminster students with specific skill sets to be paired with businesses who need help in those areas. For example, Westminster students majoring in communication, accounting, economics, marketing, management, political science and other disciplines can provide local organizations with assistance in marketing and public relations, budgets and financial plans, computer programming, social networking, and other essential needs. Sugar House SummitTwice a year, residents in the Sugar House community are invited to engage in conversation and action to help create a local sense of place. Read on to learn about past events and get information on upcoming meetings.
Join local community activists to talk about, learn about and explore the future of Sugar House! The result? A series of community meetings with interesting and disparate topics related to Sugar House and its future. Join us for our upcoming meeting!
