Mission & Policies
Welcome from the Director of the Library
The Giovale Library services, resources and spaces are designed to foster discovery and
reflection, interpretation and evaluation, and the development and practice of learning and
research skills. Whether you need to find financial data to inform a business plan, want to
marvel at digital copies of a handwritten pioneer diary, create a lesson plan to teach
second graders about the elections, conduct a review of the literature on an experimental
medical treatment, or just find a fun book to curl up with during Fall Break, we can
help you.
Librarians are on call throughout the day in person, on the phone, or on
our new Chat with a Librarian service and are also available for individual consultations
for help with big projects. All of the Library’s staff and student assistants are happy
to answer your questions or to connect you with the person or source that can.
Check out your library!
