The New Meldrum Science Center

Construction began on the 60,000 sq. ft., four-story Meldrum Science Center in June 2008. The facility is the culminating project in Westminster's 10-year campus master plan, and will help the college attract and retain top-notch students. It will open for classes in Fall 2010.

Importantly, the Meldrum Science Center will facilitate our faculty's inquiry-based teaching. This innovative teaching method is one of the reasons our science graduates are pursuing degrees in top graduate programs and are recruited by leading national and international employers.

The campaign for the Meldrum Science Center is a vital part of our long-term strategy to increase Westminster's national and international reputation as an exemplary institution of higher education.

"We're not making buildings anymore to simply house learning; we're now making them tools for learning. The new science center will allow students to see, touch, and monitor sustainable resource use in action."
