Materials & Resources

"Materials & Resources" is the fourth of the six categories in the LEED® checklist. This category includes recycled content, regional materials, and the storage and collection of recyclables.

• The Meldrum Science Center has a comprehensive recycling program, with bins located on every floor and a glass recycling bin on level one.
• The construction team was able to divert over 84% of the construction waste from the landfill.
• More than 40% of the building materials, by value, are post or post-consumer recycled materials.
• More than 15% of the building materials were harvested or manufactures within 500 miles of Westminster College.
