Why Winter at Westminster?

They earn 12–16 transferable credits while riding 70+ days at seven world-class resorts located within 30 minutes of campus.
Experience for yourself why they call Utah’s powder “The Greatest Snow on Earth!”
Yes, it’s the program that you’ve always wanted, but never knew existed!
Winter at Westminster allows you to arrange the ultimate class schedule, balancing mid-week skiing and snowboarding along with earning transferable credits that will keep you on track for graduation from your home college or university.
No class on Fridays—you’ll be ripping it up in Utah’s famous powder!
Beyond just a season pass (although all Winter at Westminster students are given two season passes—one to The Canyons, and a second to either Snowbird and Alta), this program also introduces you to new winter experiences including backcountry touring, avalanche safety clinics, Olympic sport clinics such as bobsled, Nordic jumping, and biathlon, and not-to-be-missed winter camping, snowmobiling, and extreme rafting (we’ll explain later)! In addition, you will network with many outdoor industry’s leaders and entrepreneurs at the Lecture & Learn series. And if that isn't enough, there are internship opportunities with leading outdoor companies awaiting you. A perfect semester—ride 70+days during this semester and still get a fantastic education!
Westminster College’s campus is located just 30 minutes for 7 world-class resorts!
College students make their pilgrimage here each January, drawn by the program’s work-hard, ride-hard culture. Visiting students enroll at Westminster College, one of the West’s academic powerhouses, for the spring semester (January–April), as full-time students. Students get help from a dedicated advisor to choose from over 525 classes that will satisfy your academic requirements, transfer to your home-school, and maximize your time on the slopes!

"Winter at Westminster has been unreal. If you were to have told me earlier this year that I would be spending a semester in Utah, riding fresh powder, weekend camping in a yurt, trying Nordic jumping and backcountry skiing--I wouldn't have believed you. This experience has been incredible!"
