Jeffery R. Nelson
Jeffery (Jeff) Nelson received his MBA from Westminster in 2004. He is one of the founding members of the Master Track Alumni Committee, serving as an officer for the group since 2008. Jeff and his company, Nelson Laboratories, have been major contributors to the Meldrum Science Center (a faculty office has been named for the company).
Jeff graduated from Skyline High School. He attended Brigham Young University, but received his undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Utah in 1996. Jeff has served since 2006 as president and CEO of Nelson Laboratories, Inc., a microbiological testing company specializing in sterilization and compliance testing for the medical device and pharmaceutical industries worldwide.
Jeff has been an active member of Utah Technology Council (UTC) for many years and served most recently as an executive committee trustee, board member and as chairperson of UTC’s Life Science Leadership Council where he played a major role in its work on BIOVision. Jeff is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and serves on the advisory board for SPLORE. In March 2010, he was the keynote speaker at the Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah) Quarterly Investor Update Meeting.
