Westminster/USSA Information Tuition Grant Program

Westminster College, in partnership with the United States Ski and Snowboard Association, is pleased to support the Westminster College/USSA Tuition Grant program. We recognize that achieving academic success can play an important role for world-class athletes, such as yourself. To help you fulfill your educational aspirations while you continue to train and compete, Westminster College has become an Official Provider of Educational Services to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Teams. In this capacity, Westminster is offering current national team athletes and qualifying USSA alumni the opportunity to apply for the Westminster College/USSA Grant program, which could potentially cover your total tuition costs!

Westminster College is located in Salt Lake City, only thirty-minutes from Park City. Utah's only private, comprehensive liberal arts school, Westminster College prepares its students for success through a strong foundation of liberal arts education combined with cutting-edge professional programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Westminster College is nationally ranked:

  • US News and World Report consistently ranks Westminster College in the top tier of colleges and universities in the West, and as a 'best value.'
  • The Princeton Review's “366 Best Colleges” (2008 edition) ranks Westminster College in the top 15% of colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada. The Princeton Review also includes Westminster on its list of 'America's Best Value Colleges.'
  • Kaplan/Newsweek recognizes Westminster College as one of the “most interesting schools” in America.

All current A, B and C national team members are eligible to apply for the Westminster College/USSA Tuition Grant program; however, you must meet Westminster's standards for admission. USSA alumni are also eligible to participate in the tuition grant program provided that they began their education at Westminster before they retired from the team.

This tuition grant is only available at Westminster College. Grants will be awarded to athletes based on criteria including their team ranking, grade point average (GPA), high school or college class standings and availability of grant tuition credits.

Westminster College's academic calendar is based on semesters, so we invite you to apply for the summer, fall, and spring semesters immediately. Since there are a limited number of tuition credits available, we recommend applying for this program soon.

To apply to Westminster College, please complete the Westminster College/USSA undergraduate or graduate application along with the tuition grant application (see links at left).
